GJHS Eureka Math
What is Eureka Math?
Eureka Math is a comprehensive math curriculum built around the common core standards and adapted to the Indiana state standards. It is a curriculum that was built by a group of educational leaders from the non-profit group, Great Minds. The Eureka Math curriculum is used across the state of Indiana and throughout the United States.
Why Eureka Math?
The Eureka Math curriculum was adopted for grades K - 8 in the Greensburg Community School district. This will allow for common language and consistency in Math across grade levels. In addition, this curriculum focuses on stretching student depth of knowledge and the ability to talk math with a group which are two main goals of Greensburg Junior High.
What is this site?
This site is another resource for students and parents. Each individual lesson has a corresponding video made by educators using the Eureka Math. If students need to see another explanation, or parents are wanting to see how the students are being taught, these videos show a portion of what is happening in the classroom. In addition, an overview is provided for each module (or unit).
