​Hours of Operation

The library is open Monday-Friday during school hours. Students have a weekly library specials time, but are welcome to return books and check out books throughout the school day with their classroom teacher's permission. The library will also be open Monday-Thursday from 7:50-8:10 for open checkout, and on Fridays from 8:10-8:40. 

Library Due Dates and Fines

GES Library Media Center does not charge fines for overdue books. 

Due Dates

Kindergarten: 1 week

1st-5th Grade: 2 weeks

Students in grades 1-5 may renew a book 1 time, unless the book has a hold on it. 

Lost and Damaged Books

​If a book is lost or damaged, the book must be paid for before the end of the school year.  Payment for a lost or damaged book is reimbursed should the book be found and returned in good condition. Payments may be turned in to the library staff through the office or the student's classroom teacher. Staff will check the library for the book before submitting payment. If a student is facing a hardship and cannot pay for the damaged/lost book, please email the librarian wvanderbur@greensburg.k12.in.us or contact through Seesaw.
