This was the first race of the season for us with almost a whole new team. We hosted this race at our school which was a really cool experience. We came in 11th which let us know that we have plenty of things to work on for the year. Our team built sportsmanship and set the tone of how our season would go as a team.
We had a blast at this race! We place 4th overall! This race showed us that with teamwork, hard work, and practice we were able to improved from our first race. This race gave us hope for an amazing season.
This was the first race that we got to try out bearing oil. We had not cleaned out the bearing grease yet because we had not had time to take the tire off of the rim. The car showed some improvements which let us know that we needed to clean the grease out. We placed 5th overall and we had a great race.
This was a challenging race for us! We broke our on/off switch, it rained, and we even had a rainbow show up! Even with all of the challenges that we faced we placed 5th over all! Our team really pulled together and pushed through. When our switch broke we thought we were done for the day after only racing in the drag race. With the help of another team providing a very important part as well as the officals helping get us up and running again we were able to finish out the day. We are so thankful for the sportsmanship and the support of others to keep our team in the race.
We really had a blast at this race and was hoping for a great placement. However, our motor sprocket came loose and wiggled itself to the edge of the motor bar. This caused our belt to be completely off line with our motor. This caused our motor to not run at its best which slowed our car down. Even with this hurdle our team pulled together and finished out the circuit race. We placed 9th overall which in the bigger picture of things was actually really good.
This was an amazing race to attend in the fact that we got to meet Bea who is an F24 team member from England. Her team came all the way from the United Kingdom to visit the United States. Our team emailed and even did a Google Meets with her leading up to the race. As a treat for her to take with her we put a gift tote together with snacks and treats that they don't have in England. This was our last regular season race for the year and we placed 7th overall.
