The deadline to purchase After Prom tickets has passed. Tickets will be available at the door for $10. Seniors who purchase at the door will not be guaranteed a prize, however.
Welcome to the Green High School Class of 2017 website. The site is growing, and new information is being added frequently. Seniors and parents are encouraged to check back often. Now that we are at the midway point of the 2016-2017 school year, we wanted to provide you with some important updates and information about the Class of 2017 and a variety of senior activities. Please review the following information carefully, and do not hesitate to contact the individual listed with questions.
NEW Senior Class Website
Seniors and parents are encouraged to visit the NEW Green High School Class of 2017 for news and information as we approach the end of the school year. The website address is: sites.google.com/greenlocalschools.org/class-of-2017. Please check the website often, as new information will be added often!
Optional Senior Activities Fees
This year, seniors will have the opportunity to choose which senior activities in which they wish to participate, and to pay for those activities accordingly. It is easy to pay for these activities! Seniors or parents of seniors can pay online (greenlocalschools.org – EZ Pay tab from the home page). When in the EZ Pay system, seniors will be given the choice to participate in one or both remaining activities part of the optional activities: After Prom (May 21st) and Senior Banquet (May 16th). Each activity is $10.

Write a check payable to Green High School and mail to the attention of Mrs. Kim Hastings at Green High School. If you prefer, a check can be dropped off to Mrs. Hastings in the main office as well. If paying by check, be sure to indicate which activities you are paying for.

Senior Banquet: May 16, 2017 -- 5:00pm
Senior Banquet is $10 per student, and can be paid for through the EZ Pay system. The deadline to purchase tickets for the Senior Banquet is May 9, 2017. Students will be served an upscale buffet dinner in the Green High School Senior Commons, and should dress accordingly. Usually, men wear shirt and ties and women dresses or nice slacks outfits. After the banquet, students may proceed to Green High School for the Senior Awards Ceremony.

After Prom: May 21, 2017 -- 12:00 am to 3:00 am
After Prom is $10 per student, and can be paid for through the EZ Pay system. Students may also purchase tickets for their senior or non-senior guests in the spring when prom tickets are sold. The goal for after prom is to provide a safe, enjoyable place for students to attend after the prom. After prom will be at the North Canton Skate Center (address and directions will be provided at the time of ticket purchase). Food, prizes, and games including roller skating, bumper cars, laser tag, Euro bungy, rock wall climbing, etc… will be available. We hope to see all seniors attend!
The success of after prom depends largely on the involvement of a committee of parents who plan and stage the event, secure parent volunteers, secure door prizes, secure food donations, among other things. We need parents to become involved with after prom! If you are interested in serving on the after prom committee, e-mail Mr. Granito at the address below.

Senior Video: Deadline: April 12, 2017
Seniors are encouraged to submit a baby picture and a senior picture to be included in the senior video. Seniors are also able to submit up to three additional candid photos for the video. All photos must be submitted electronically. The video will be shown to seniors as part of Senior Payback Day.
See the last page of this update for specific instructions for submitting photos. These instructions will also be posted in Google Classroom.

Graduation: May 25, 2017 -- 7:30pm
The Class of 2017 commencement ceremony begins at 7:30pm, on May 25, 2017, with doors opening to guests at 6:30pm. The ceremony this year will be held at Faith Family Church, adjacent to I-77, just south of the Akron-Canton Airport. Graduates are required to attend a ceremony rehearsal at 8:00am on May 25th. The rehearsal will last approximately 90 minutes. More information about the ceremony and rehearsal will be provided to graduates in mid-April.
Graduation tickets will be distributed to all seniors in mid-April. Students enrolled at the PLCC will receive their tickets at the career center. Each graduate will receive six tickets. In mid-May, any remaining tickets will be available for families to pick up, on a first-come, first-served basis, in the high school main office during school hours. Information about graduation tickets will be distributed to all seniors at a later date.
