Malden Court Community Orchard is an orchard located on 87th Ave and Flavel that is ran by volunteers. The goal of the orchard is to educate, grow food, and bring the community together. The Green Lents interns have participated in monthly work parties every third Saturday of the month. During their time at the orchard, they weeded, tore down old plywood to kickoff the mural project, and ate some delicious fruits!

The Green Lents Community Tool Library is a free tool-lending service for seven different neighborhoods in SE Portland. Each of the Green Lents interns took a shift at the Tool Library, where they assisted in the day-to-day tasks, such as cleaning up, organizing tools, and helping members.

The Lents Park Nature Patch is a large nature patch planted by Portland Parks and Recreation and volunteers this year. LYI Interns worked with leaders from Portland Parks and Recreation to do maintenance work, and also to learn about identification of native plants and pollinators.

The Lents International Farmers Market is a farmers market that is available weekly on Sundays, where local farmers and businesses sell fresh fruits, vegetables, and cooked foods to the community. Interns took a day to do public outreach about the Green Lents organization, and also handed out free seeds and resources to people.

Powell Butte Nature Park is a park built upon an extinct volcanic cone, and is the largest park in East Portland. At the park, students spent the day under the hot summer sun with Portland Parks and Recreation watering, daylighting, and mulching.

The Foster Floodplain is a natural area that aims to reduce flood risks, and to provide habitats for fish and other local wildlife. Interns did clean-up/litter patrol along the Springwater Corridor Trail, and watering of bushes, shrubs, and trees.

MetroEast is a non-profit organization based in Gresham that offers free digital media workshops and resources to educate the public. Green Lents Interns attended digital workshops over Zoom to learn about video editing, website development, and photography.
