School Nurse

Here at GCMS, we have a full time School Nurse and these are some of the things that fall on her plate:

• Assess students who are sick and refer out to primary care provider

• Manage chronic health conditions

• Screenings and follow up

• Provide health education, teach classes

• Develop and implement care plans

• Communicate with families, school staff, health care professionals, and other interdisciplinary team members

• Data Collection and Documentation

• Stay current on emerging information pertinent to school nursing, the biggest one this year has been Covid-19
