WELCOME  TO  THE HIGHVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Join us for the Hour of Code! All Highview Elementary School students will be given the opportunity to code during the month of January. No experience is necessary!

WHAT IS THE HOUR OF CODE?

The National Hour of Code serves as a pivotal initiative aimed at introducing school children to the fundamentals of computer science in a fun and accessible manner. This event, typically held during Computer Science Education Week, encourages students to engage in at least one hour of coding activities. By demystifying the world of programming and technology, the Hour of Code not only fosters a sense of creativity and problem-solving but also equips students with essential skills for the digital age. In an increasingly technology-driven world, understanding coding principles is no longer a niche expertise but a fundamental literacy. Introducing coding at an early age not only prepares students for future careers but also cultivates a mindset of innovation and adaptability, empowering them to navigate and contribute meaningfully to the evolving landscape of technology. The Hour of Code thus plays a crucial role in bridging the digital divide and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to become fluent in the language of the future.

Embark on a transformative journey into the realm of coding with our Hour of Code. Designed for beginners and coding enthusiasts alike, this series is your gateway to unlocking the secrets of programming in a fun, interactive, and accessible way.
