Judges
Jennifer Duarte Castillo is a proud alumna of Green Bay East High School and a current sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she is studying Theatre and Drama. Throughout her high school career, Jenny had the pleasure of participating in East's plays and musicals and was honored to be a 2-time Centerstage High School Musical Theatre Awards Best Actress Nominee, later making her Broadway debut at the Minskoff Theatre as a Best Actress Nominee for The Jimmy Awards. As the recipient of Outstanding Soloist and 1st place for her Musical Theatre Solo at the 2024 PPS, Jenny is grateful for the opportunity to offer feedback, support, and encouragement; just as her own educators once did for her, and to give back to the community that nurtured her love for the performing arts.
Sean Gibbons is a veteran high school and middle school teacher of 34 years whose passion for the performing arts has been a constant throughout his career. He has appeared in dozens of musicals and theatrical productions, developing a deep appreciation for character work, vocal performance, and ensemble storytelling. In addition to performing, he has directed and co-directed several musical productions. His experience on both sides of the stage informs his thoughtful, balanced approach as a judge, with attention to musicality, stage presence, interpretation, and overall production quality.
Amelia Gibbons is a proud Green Bay Southwest Alumni and is thrilled to be back for the Packerland Powerhouse Showcase! She is currently getting her BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a minor in Child, Youth, and Family Studies. She has participated in numerous vocal and theatre competitions including the Hal Leonard International Vocal Competition (1st Place, 2022), The National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition, (1st Place, 2022), International Thespian Excellence Awards (Showcase Performer, 2020), and most notably, winning Outstanding Performance in A Lead Role in 2022 at Center Stage High School Musical Theatre Awards. Afterward, she went on to compete as a nominee at The National High School Musical Theatre Awards: The Jimmy Awards. Amelia is proud to see the arts continue to thrive at Green Bay Southwest, and wants to thank her family, friends, and educators for helping her become the artist she is today.
