About Me

Hello! I am so glad to be a part of Green County Schools! This year will be my 15th year of teaching.   I am looking forward to a wonderful year in first grade!  I am a 2003 graduate of Green County High School.  After high school I attended The University of the Cumberlands to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 2007.  I continued my education with the Cumberlands earning a Master's Degree as a Reading and Writing Specialist in 2013. I am currently a National Board Certified Teacher.  As you can see, I really enjoy learning and continuing my education so that I can prepare myself to be the best version of myself for my students and their families.  

Family is very important to me.  I spend a lot of time outside of school with my family.  I am the mother of a wonderful girl named Maddie.  She will be starting her college career at Morehead State University this year! I also am a proud aunt to my nephew Deacon, he keeps us entertained.  I am blessed to also get to work with my sister everyday.  She teaches second grade. My church family is very important to me as well.  We attend Aetna Grove Baptist Church in Summersville where my dad is also the pastor.  

When I am not at school, I enjoy traveling, reading, and finding new ways to be creative.
