About Me

My name is Brittany Skaggs and this is my 9th year as an Exceptional Child Educator. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2017 with a duel certification in Elementary Teaching and Learning and Behavior Disorders. I began my teaching career that same year at Russell County Middle School. I taught at RCMS for five years before coming to GCPS in the fall of 2022. 

I look forward to getting to know my awesome group of 2nd graders this year!

I relocated from Russell Springs to Greensburg in the fall of 2022. I am excited to be a part of this great community! 

Outside of teaching, I spend almost all of my time with my family. I have a beautiful daughter, Remi Jean, that was born in January of 2022.  

Other things I enjoy include: spending time with friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, and being around animals.
