This junior-year English course explores the diverse voices, historical shifts, and cultural themes that shape the identity. Students will analyze a rich tapestry of texts—including foundational historical documents, novels, drama,  poetry, and diverse short stories. The course places a heavy emphasis on critical thinking, analytical writing, and rhetoric. Students will move beyond basic comprehension to dissect authors' stylistic choices, cultural contexts, and underlying arguments. Through regular discussion, collaborative projects, and multi-stage writing workshops, juniors will refine their ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
