The purpose of this Acceptable Use Policy is to ensure that all students, staff, and authorized users use school technology resources in a safe, responsible, and educational manner. Technology is provided to support learning, communication, and school operations.
This policy applies to all users of school-owned or school-managed technology, including but not limited to:
Computers, tablets, and mobile devices
School networks and Wi-Fi
Email and communication systems
Learning management systems and educational apps
Internet access provided by the school
Users are expected to:
Use technology for educational purposes only
Follow teacher and staff instructions at all times
Access only approved websites and applications
Treat devices and equipment with care and respect
Respect the privacy and work of others
Report any technical issues, damage, or inappropriate content immediately
Users must NOT:
Access, share, or create inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
Engage in cyberbullying, harassment, or threatening behavior
Use another person’s account or password
Download or install unauthorized software or apps
Attempt to bypass school filters or security systems
Damage, steal, or vandalize devices or network systems
Use technology for commercial, political, or personal gain unrelated to schoolwork
Record, photograph, or share others without permission
Students should never share personal information online (full name, address, phone number, passwords, etc.)
Users should avoid interacting with unknown or unverified individuals
All online activity may be monitored by the school system
The school reserves the right to filter and block content to protect users
School email and communication tools should be used for school-related purposes only
All communication must be respectful and appropriate
Users should not open suspicious links, attachments, or messages
Devices should be handled carefully and kept clean and secure
Users are responsible for any assigned devices
Lost, stolen, or damaged devices must be reported immediately
No food or drink should be near school devices
Users should understand that:
School devices, networks, and accounts are monitored
There is no expectation of personal privacy when using school technology
The school may review files, browsing history, and communications if necessary
Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
Loss of technology privileges
Parent/guardian contact
Detention or school discipline
Financial responsibility for damages
Suspension or other administrative consequences
Legal action if applicable
By using school technology resources, users agree to follow this policy and understand that failure to do so may result in consequences as outlined above.
