Team Philosophy
The D6 golf program provides student athletes the opportunity to play a game that embodies the core values of our schools. As a self-regulated sport with an overriding principle of fairness and personal integrity, golf requires would-be players to develop the same values of responsibility, honesty, and respect that D6 encourages all of the student body to model.
D6 golfers are expected to work hard on the golf course and in the classroom. This program emphasizes teamwork, skill development, and course management, along with the important values of sportsmanship, integrity, and commitment. With both an individual and team mentality, the D6 golf program seeks to develop skilled golfers who are also strong leaders and teammates. We believe Bobby Jones summed up golf the best, “Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots; you get good breaks from bad shots, but you have to play the ball where it lies.”
