We have a wide variety of experience between years played, years coached and level of play.
Brian Holmes comes to the Greeley West Softball program after coaching high school baseball for 28 years with stints at University, Greeley Central, and Greeley West. During his 19 years at Greeley West, he spent 13 years as the head baseball coach leading the Spartans to State Final Four appearances in 2006 and 2010. He also spent 3 years coaching the summer collegiate baseball team consisting of athletes from UNC and various colleges across the country. This will be his 4th year of coaching softball and his 3rd year as the Varsity Assistant coach. He will also be starting his 30th year in education this August after teaching health and physical education at Heath Jr. High and Greeley West. He also had a 3 year stint in Administration as the Dean of Students at Greeley West. His wife Heidi, recently retired from teaching Special Education in the Windsor school district for 30 years. His oldest son, Brandon is a 2014 graduate of Greeley West and 2018 graduate of the Colorado School of Mines. He is currently employed as a Project Engineer with Hensel Phelps Construction. His youngest son, Tyler is a 2019 graduate of Greeley West. He will be completing his college education at Colorado State University after playing baseball for 3 years at Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Arizona.
