23-24 Course Selection

It's time to start thinking about next year!  Our counseling team will be meeting with current 9th, 10th & 11th graders this month to begin the course selection process for the 2023-2024 school year.  We'll be meeting with students during Advanced Academic Achievement (9th grade), Seminar 10 (10th grade), and English class (11th grade).  During our classroom visits, we will review their progress toward high school graduation and their AA degree, as well as discuss course sequences for next year.  Ask your student about this and feel free to reach out to the counseling team with any questions.

ECA Gifted and Talented

Hi, I am Tiffanie Becher, the Gifted & Talented Specialist for ECA. This is my third year here with the Tigers and my sixth year in the district. For those students identified as gifted and talented, services can range from yearly goal setting meetings to weekly support meetings, it is based on the needs of the student. Each year students are able to pick their level of support, or how much interaction they feel they will need with me to be successful. Outside of meeting with students to talk about strategies and resources they need, I also monitor grades, work with teachers, identify new students and serve as a trusted adult that students can come to in times of need. Parents will receive quarterly newsletters with helpful information and important dates, along with other tools and resources that can make life with a gifted child easier. Each year students will get the resources they need to be successful and work closer to achieving their goal of graduating high school and having a plan for a future career or college pathway. I encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or concerns at tbecher1@greeleyschools.org.

Access to Aims

Did you know that all ECA students are able to access different resources at Aims Community College. One of the most popular is the Physical Education and Recreation Center (PERC) on the Greeley campus. The PERC offers students access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for working out/traning. ECA students will need to use their Aims ID when entering the building. To learn more about the PERC, click HERE.

Club Spotlight: Gaming Club

Gaming Club was ECA's first club and was founded in the Fall of 2015 just weeks after ECA's opening.  Gaming club exists with the belief that there is an educational value that comes from the strategy, competition, teamwork and socialization of playing games in a guided setting.  With card games, board games, and a PS4; Gaming Club has grown to become one of ECA's largest and most well attended clubs.   Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month in the Cafeteria.  Membership is open to all ECA students.
