Welcome to the new year and a new semester at ECA. As we begin the Spring semester, we would like to take a moment to thank you for choosing ECA. We are excited about this semester and this newsletter will provide you with important information about upcoming events and activities at ECA.

Infinite Campus Alerts
We strongly encourage you to download the Infinite Campus application to your smartphone to enable alerts when your student misses an assignment or is absent. This allows you to stay on top of what your student may need additional assistance with and keep you informed about what is occurring in the classroom. Please follow the steps below to get the essential updates at your fingertips.
Download Infinite Campus from the Google Play Store or Apple Store (District Name: Greeley 6)
Navigate to the “Profile” icon on the top toolbar
Click on “Settings”
Click on “Notification Settings”
From here you can customize what notifications you would like. Such as Assignment scores, grades updated, and attendance.

Updated Attendance Policy
We have updated our attendance policy regarding late arrivals to class (or “tardies”) to be better aligned with other high schools in District 6. Students will be marked tardy if they are not on time to class, but arrive within the first 10 minutes of the start of class. If a student arrives more than 10 minutes after the start of class, the student will be marked absent and the time of arrival will be noted in Infinite Campus.
We want to encourage students to attend class - even if they arrive more than 10 minutes late and will be marked absent. We know that strong attendance is one of the key factors in a student’s academic success.
Welcome Shena Lopez,
attendance ADVOCATE
We would like to welcome Shena Lopez to the ECA team as our new Attendance Advocate. Ms. Lopez will be on our campus every Wednesday to support our students and families with any attendance issues.
In addition to welcoming a new attendance advocate, we will are also updating some of our notification procedures. If your student has been marked absent during the school day, you will receive a call at 5:00 pm to notify you of the absence. If this absence should have been excused, please notify Ms. Renee at 970-348-5800.
Student Council
Student Council members are currently planning a Valentine's Day Social for Friday, February 10th. We will run a slightly modified bell schedule during the day to accommodate the event at the end of the day. Note: students planning to exchange any Valentine's are asked to bring them on Friday, not on actual Valentine's Day. Thank you!
Student Support Center
The Student Support Center is available to all students that need additional help with access to the Aims Tutors during Seminar and their off periods. In addition, students can access Dream Team, Gifted and Talented, Special Education, Student Life Coordinator, Social Worker, and the Aims Academic Advisor.
Student Drop off
and pick up
In order to be good neighbors with the businesses around ECA, we kindly ask that you do not drop off or pick up in their parking lots to the east (HopeBridge) and west (PeakView Pointe).
Drop-off and Pick-up traffic flow:
Enter ECA from the 11th street entrance, then proceed around the building to drop off or pick up on the west side of the building.
You will then continue around ECA and exit onto 11th street, making a right-hand turn only.
During pick-up, if you arrive early you can park on the east side of the building.
