Final Exams are a critical component of college courses, and it is very important that all students attend on these dates! Final Exams have a big impact on student's final grades. Please encourage your students to study hard, get a good night's rest before exam days, and most importantly, be present and on time on these dates.

Meet our new Academic Advisor

Hello! My name is Armando Meza and I’m excited to be part of ECA and can’t wait to get to know everyone. I’m the new Academic Advisor for Juniors and Seniors with Aims Community College. A little about me: I was raised in Greeley and graduated from Greeley Central High School and the University of Northern Colorado. I’ve spent most of my career working at Greeley Central High School, and most recently, I worked at all the major high schools in Greeley. In my free time, I enjoy sports, movies, anime, food (especially anything sweet!), and spending time with friends and family. My goal is to help students achieve their dreams and show them they can accomplish much more than they might think.

The Youth Commission is holding their annual Winter Clothing Drive. There will be boxes in the lobby as well as the north hallway across from Mrs. Helton’s desk where you can donate winter clothing like hats, gloves, coats, etc. The drive will be through December 9th.

Access to Aims

Early College Academy students are also Aims students, which means they have access to Aims' Physical Education and Recreation Center (PERC). The PERC offers recreation hours, intramural sports, and activity classes.

Students who wish to utilize the PERC during the 2024-2025 academic year must have a completed
"Minor Waiver of Liability on File".

Parents/Guardians, if you have not done so already, please complete the waiver on behalf of your student.

Questions? Contact the PERC at 970.339.6295 or physical.education@aims.edu

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Going to school regularly in high school is very important for doing well in class and growing as a person. When students show up every day, they can better understand what is being taught, join in-class activities, and finish their work on time. Good attendance also helps students learn how to manage their time, be responsible, and stay organized—skills that are useful later in life. Plus, being in school regularly helps students make friends and build strong relationships with teachers, making school a more positive and supportive place to be. We highly encourage all of our families to schedule their vacations during the upcoming breaks in November and December.

If your child is sick or will not be at school because of an emergency, please call the front office to excuse their absence at 970-348-5800.  If your student has been excused from school ten or more times in a school year, every excused absense after that point will require a doctr's note or equivalent documentation.

Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school (16 total absences over the entire school year) will have a negative impact on a student’s academic performance!
