Student Drop off and pick up

In order to be good neighbors with the businesses around ECA, we kindly ask that you do not drop off or pick up in their parking lots to the east (Action Behavior Centers, formally Hope Bridge) and west (PeakView Pointe).

For the safety of our students, traffic flow is SINGLE LANE, please DO NOT PASS.

Drop-off and Pick-up traffic flow:

  • Enter ECA from the 11th street entrance, then proceed around the building to drop off or pick up on the west side of the building.

  • You will then continue around ECA and exit onto 11th street, making a right-hand turn only.

  • During pick-up, if you arrive early you can park on the east side of the building.

We sincerely appreciate your continued support.  Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions.

Update on State Testing

Our Spring State Testing will be on April 17th and 18th, 2024. Students from the 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the PSAT tests The 11th grade students will be taking the SAT and CMAS tests. Students will test in the morning and be released to guardians/parents in the afternoon unless they need or want to work with a teacher or professor in the afternoon. Students in the 12th grade will not be expected to come to school on those two days unless they need to work with a teacher/professor in the afternoon. More information will be shared as we get closer.

To help your student(s) get ready for the test, they can use the free Khan Academy SAT prep that is avaiable. For more information, please visit: https://www.khanacademy.org/digital-sat

2024-2025 Course Requests

It's time to start thinking about the 2024-2025 school year!  Students in grades 9-11 are participating in Group Advising Sessions this month with Ms. Cress and Ms. Dominguez to discuss their courses for next year.  Parents - be sure to ask your student about their advising session and the courses that they are planning to take next year.

FAFSA Update

Attention Seniors & Senior Families - If you haven't done so already, it's now time to complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the 2024-2025 school year.

As you may be aware, the Department of Education updated the FAFSA form this year in an attempt to make it simpler for students to submit.  Unfortunately, those changes resulted in many delays.  Fortunately, students are finally able to complete their FAFSA.

The first step is for students and a parent to create their FSAID, a username and password combination that will be used to log into the FAFSA system and will serve as your official legal signature on the FAFSA.  You can create your FSAID online at www.studentaid.gov

Once you've created an FSA ID, you're ready to log in and complete your 2024-2025 FAFSA.

Need help?  Aims & UNC are hosting a FAFSA Fest at the Aims Welcome Center on Tuesday, February 20 and Saturday, February 24.  Financial Aid Counselors will be available to assist.  This event is open to anyone - regardless of where you're planning to attend school next year.

College Admissions &
Financial Aid Info Night

All 10th & 11th graders and their families are invited to attend our upcoming College Admissions & Financial Aid Info Night on Tuesday, February 27 at 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Aims Community College Welcome Center.  You will have the opportunity to hear directly from professionals working in college admissions and financial aid.  The information they share will be applicable to most every four year college/university so this is a great opportunity to get a jump start on preparing for your future!

Greeley Dream Team

Greeley Dream Team happenings this year so far include workshops, field trips, and a sticker design contest. Below are some highlights of the program.

  •  Workshops cover various topics such as, but not limited to, goal setting, financial literacy, paying for college/learning about financial aid, college admissions information, and resume building. Workshops are held monthly during lunch, and all members are encouraged to participate.

  • Each semester, we plan a day to go and visit a college campus. This year, students had the opportunity to go to Colorado State University and the University of Colorado- Denver. Generally, visits include a presentation from the admissions office to learn about the academic programs each college offers, a student panel with an opportunity to ask questions and a tour of campus. This year we also had the chance to visit with the following ECA alumni at their colleges, Alexis Almanza at CU Denver and Aakyriah Williams at CSU. The summer program is another opportunity to explore colleges.

  •  For students who are artistic or simply creative, we have a sticker design contest each year. It is an opportunity to showcase their skills by submitting a design. The winning designs will get their stickers published for distribution to the public. Winners are to be announced for 2024 soon!

Tutor Profile

Mary Billings

My name is Ms. Mary. I've been an English / social science tutor at ECA for seven years.  Growing up in a military family, I moved a great deal.  I chose to be a teacher because I was sensitive to helping students fill in potential learning gaps, thus building their confidence in learning new things.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English and a minor in history from CSU. My Masters' degree from UNC is focused on educational leadership and policy studies. I retired as a District 6 teacher and administrator after 30 years. Feeling I still had much to contribute, and missing students, I decided to return to education.  I currently live with my family in Greeley.
