The Pine Brook library prides itself on providing state-of-the-art technology, including a SMARTBoard, eight computers, subscription databases for research, as well as access to laptop computers, and an ipad cart for various projects. Students in grades K-2 have library class for 25 minutes twice every 5-day cycle. Each session involves a library skills lesson or story and book selection time. Students in grades 3-5 have library class for 55 minutes once every 5-day cycle. The library is open for the students and staff as long as there is a volunteer available to help students checkout new books.
Are you looking for a volunteer
opportunity?
Why not volunteer in the Pine Brook Library?
Volunteers may come in once a week, biweekly, monthly, or just once for a special project. You might help with a variety of tasks at different times throughout the year, such as:
-Checking out books to students
- Shelving books
- Clerical tasks (copying, cutting, stapling, etc.)
- Covering books
- Repairing damaged books
- Inventory at the end of the school year
-We are also looking for volunteers to sign up for our Barnes and Noble Night and the Scholastic Book Fair that will take place later in the year
