We want to create a connected hub where stakeholders across the State of Illinois can share best practices and foster open collaboration to enrich the experiences of all students in our state and to help others adopt ideas to help their schools and students meet the state's PaCE requirements.
The Illinois PaCE Framework was developed with extensive input gathered from stakeholders and subject matter experts to provide guidance to students, families, and educators on what type of experiences and information a student should have in order to make the most informed decisions about college and career planning, beginning in 8th grade and continuing through high school.
According to the PaCE Framework, by the end of 8th grade, every student in Illinois should explore career interests, attend a career exploration day, and be exposed to the concept of career clusters. As we have learned in Greater Peoria, one of the best ways to impact students and support meeting the requirements set by PaCE is through hands-on career exploration activities.
This activity library is a compilation of best practices and engaging activities from career exploration events across the nation, and we hope that it enables you to provide great experiences for your students.
Use this form to submit an activity and our team will create an activity card so that the excitement of exploring careers can be shared and duplicated to provide more students across Illinois with a glimpse at this career pathway! You can also access the full form without leaving this site at the bottom of this page.
