On September 21st, the Senior class of Proctor and West Rutland took a trip to Burlington to attend a college fair at Saint Michael's College. There were representatives from over 50 colleges for students to talk to and ask questions about the school.
Student Carter Crossmon said, “Being with all the other schools gave me an idea of the college experience.” There were hundreds of kids there and a lot of different high schools.
There were schools from all over the country, coming from places like Florida, Utah, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, and many other states. This was a great opportunity for kids to speak firsthand with representatives from a college that they may be interested in.
After visiting with the college representatives, students took a bus to Main Street for lunch. All the students split up into groups; going into different places to eat and shop. Along with eating and shopping, two of the kids, Dylan Aker and Carter Crossmon, found corn hole to play. “Walking around the campus was really fun, I got a good sandwich from Church Street,” Crossmon said.
One student, Nathan Cameron, walked around Main Street. He said, “I ate a burger and greens, and it was really good!”
