At the beginning of class every day, we listened to a carefully picked song, sometimes chosen by the teacher and sometimes by a student, to help us get inspiration before we started learning and writing. The songs were compiled into a list we could access at any time (hence the name “Inspiration Playlist”). As our end-of-the-year project, we were tasked with contributing one song each to make our own Inspiration Playlist, and then we wrote pieces—poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction—relating to the song that we had chosen. This is that playlist.
