Since the weather outside is bitter cold,

One thing that is beneficial to everyone is reading a book! It could be an e-book, comic book, magazine, newspaper, or online! Read with a parent, sibling, grandparent or friend! You can find a great selection of ebooks at the local school website here: http://destiny.grayson.kyschools.us. The Grayson County Public Library has a great selection of e-books as well. Lexia Core 5 for Elementary! Take advantage of this fun, literacy skills program! Advance through the levels and tweet your minutes or achievements.

To access Lexia, visit www.lexiacore5.com or download it for iPad or Android tablets. Enter your teacher's email address and your student username and password! It is important that your child works without any help while using Core5. All of the work your child does at home is recorded and reported to school. This way, teachers can see when help is needed and provide additional instruction at school.

Reading Plus Pic

Reading Plus is for 3rd-8th grade students with foundational reading skills who are ready to become proficient silent readers. The program helps students establish silent reading fluency, increase comprehension skills, and expand vocabulary while broadening interests and building knowledge.
