Greetings From Your Instructor
I'm Gary Graves, and I will be your instructor and travel guide for BUS 106 F. I'm happy your taking this course and I'm looking forward to spending the "traveling" semester with you.
BUS 106 F is designed to take 15-20 students to Germany and Italy. The "field trip" course offers students the ability to experience international travel. This international experience will help increase global awareness in our students, which will better equip them to manage business decisions and challenges in an international context in their careers.
THE INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
The overseas travel will include additional on-sight team assignments. Be prepared to work on-sight and engage with faculty and managers in each country! The trip will also feature tours of local businesses in both countries.
Prior to the field trip, students must complete all the required permission and tracking forms, as well as any documentation required for international travel (make sure you have a valid passport!). Students are expected to dress appropriately for an international business conference (business casual) for all workshop activities.
During the field trip, students are required to behave according to the code of conduct. Failure to attend all portions of the activities, or poor behavior during any portion of the activities, will result in a non-passing grade and further ramifications upon our return. Remember, you are representing our College and district while abroad.
Gary
