Web Resources

This page outlines a number of my favorite web resources for helping you to learn Calculus. First off, some all-purpose resources are listed, then I list video lessons on Calc topics in the order they are brought up in class.

If these resources don't work for you, you can always try Google! There are many, many videos and lecture notes out there that can help you learn Calculus. If you find a resource that works for you, PLEASE let me know and I will add it to this page.

General sources for lecture notes

  • Paul's online math notes: These are the best lecture notes I've seen online for explaining math topics. The explanations are incredibly detailed and go carefully step-by-step through problems. If you feel like your textbook isn't providing enough detail on some concept, I recommend looking here first.

Video lessons

There are LOTS of different sources for Calculus video lessons on Youtube. Some of my favorites are the following channels:

  • patrickJMT - these lessons are probably most in sync with the sorts of things you will be asked to do in the homework and in class.

  • NancyPi (formerly MathBff) - A lot of students find her explanations very clear, and the production values are quite high.

  • Sal Khan - Obviously many students already have a strong opinion on his videos, but Khan Academy definitely has videos on every Calculus topic!

If you find others that you like, let me know and I'll link them here!!
