Via the mobile app, students are able to start a text chat or a phone call with a crisis counselor. They can also submit a tip to their school.
SafeUT gives FREE access to licensed counselors who provide 24/7 crisis intervention and emotional support. Here are some examples for which SafeUT may be used:
Depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues
Suicide prevention
Loss/grief
Bullying/cyberbullying
Drug/alcohol problems
Self-harm
Relationship difficulties
Any life challenge

The Utah Crisis Line sends out mobile crisis outreach teams (MCOT) in many areas throughout our state. MCOTs provide:
fast,
free,
face-to-face or virtual video response.
MCOT is for Utah residents who are having a mental health challenge.
Youth and adult services teams are available 24/7/365 and offer consultation and support to:
individuals,
families,
schools,
treatment providers, and
first responders.
We also provide follow-up services, like ongoing support. This includes referrals to health care providers and to mental health services in the community.
Services: Juvenile Receiving Center/Crisis, Counseling
The Juvenile Receiving Center is a 24/7 facility that provides free crisis counseling, referrals to community agencies, and short-term placement for youth ages 8-17.
Counseling Services include immediate crisis counseling for youth and families, as well as short-term 60-day counseling intervention, and longer term mental health counseling.
The Huntsman Mental Health Institute has a wide variety of programs to treat children and teens for mental health. The type and level of care your child might need will be different depending on their personal situation and safety concerns.
