Cyprus Baseball region started on Tuesday March 26, 2024 even though the game was canceled because of the weather. So far the baseball team has played well. Nuho Kraja says ‘’I think we will play well, we need to clean up mental mistakes that are costing us’’. He also says that he believes that the team is excited because the region is competitive.

Coach Kraja reports that the teams in the region are competitive so as a coach he cannot confirm the lineup until the day of the game because he makes changes depending on the team. The games are so competitive that you never can predict a score when you play against hard teams. It's just kind of a back and forth game.  

The baseball team goes on the field knowing to perform to a high standard due to the competitive nature of the region. Coach Kraja said “that a good way to change or do differently for the next  is we could make routine plays for the next game”

The baseball team has a game on Friday but the weather will play a role in determining if the game will be canceled. The weather and the field being too wet could cause the game to be canceled.  Coach Kraja says ’’Spring sports are always difficult in the first part of the season’’.   

Speaking of the weather, the game that was held on Wednesday March 27, 2024 turned into a double header to make up for the game that got canceled on Tuesday. These two games were against Murray High school.  The Cyprus baseball team won one game with a score 4-3 and lost the other with a score of 5-7 in the double header on Wednesday. If it is determined the conditions are fit to be played the game will be a home game at Magna Copper Park on March 29, 2024 at 6 pm against Murray High School.
