As winter fades and spring awakens, the Tulip festival bursts to life with vibrant colors, fragrant blooms, and the joyful spirit of the season.
The Cyprus High School Spinnakers threw a 90’s themed MORP dance that took place on April 19, 2025. The MORP dance took place in the Cyprus High School Brockbank gym from 6-9 pm.

Every year a music festival named Coachella is hosted and tons of celebrities attend, especially Tiktok influencers. Music isn’t the only popular thing at Coachella, it is also the debatable outfits that everyone puts on and how they can wear the best outfit.
According to the Peer Leadership Advisor Chaelor Hunter, “Peer Leadership is a class that offers elective credit where we focus on planning events that benefit the school, mental health, and learning leadership skills.”

Utah High School Activity Association (UHSAA) held a regional competition on March 20, 2025 at Hunter High School, of which Cyprus High School thespians and participants attended. It ran from 2:30 PM to about 10:00 PM, and was a lively and exciting event for the full run. In the end, out of 22 individual competition entries, 13 of those entries are going forward into state competition on April 19, 2025. Alongside this, Zeke Smith was awarded a judges’ award for Outstanding Performance as the character Dale in Cyprus High School’s competition one-act.

Spinnakers Drill Team of Cyprus High School is organizing the Morp dance planned to be at the Brockbank Campus 2935 S 8560 W Magna, Utah, scheduled for 6-9 pm April 19, 2025. Morp is a girls choice dance that follows a casual theme and tickets are $12. Essentially, Morp is “Prom” spelt backwards and is the opposite of formal. With the Spinnakers hosting Morp they are raising money and introducing one more dance to end the year off.
Cyprus High School Peer Leadership hosted a Movie Night at Cyprus Main Cafeteria on Feb. 21, 2025 to get donations for the pirate pantry by selling the movie tickets and concessions at the event.
Cyprus High School’s theater department put on the show “Arsenic and Old Lace” on Feb. 27th and 28th as well as Mar. 1st, and this title was the final one to take place on the auditorium stage that we know.
Cyprus HIgh School Students conduct and participate in Hope Week on the week of March 31 to April 4, 2025. Hope Week is an annual occasion where students get to dress up in fun themes and participate in activities during lunch while also spreading awareness about mental health.
Weezer is headlining the 3rd day of the Kilby Block Party.
The Kilby Block Party is an all ages indie-music festival in Salt Lake City that happens every year, and it's been ongoing for 6 years since 2019 and coming May 15-18 this year. It started as a one day event and now is a multi-day festival, which a lot of people attend. This year they are adding a half fourth day instead of the regular 3 days.

Arsenic and Old Lace is a play that took place on Feb. 27, 28 and March 1, 2025. Arsenic and Old Lace is a play that is about two elderly sisters who poison old men and act as if it is a mercy to the men.
Cyprus High School Students participated in the school spirit bowl on Feb. 28, 2025. The spirit bowl is an annual competition where the students are separated by grades and compete in games to win the title of best class.
Cyprus is giving students the opportunity to show what makes their culture different on March 21st. They will perform dances and many other activities to make their culture unique.
