Cyprus officially began the basketball season with a home scrimmage game between the Blue and Gold teams on Nov. 17. Both teams played well, but Blue took home the win, 56-51.

“My team played really well, with no one playing selfishly and worked together great!” Cyprus Freshman player Sam Ellsworth said regarding his team's (Blue Team) Performance.

When asked what could be improved on in the coming games, Sam Ellsworth stated, “The biggest thing I think we could improve on would be teamwork and accountability.”

“The team played well.” Head Coach Tre Smith said. “I saw a lot of great things. Played together, shot the ball and competed”. 

When asked about both team’s performance, Coach Tre said, “Both teams did great things. We are young but lack experience right now.”
