In the trailer there's a certain clip they recreated which was Amy Winehouse’s reaction to winning a Grammy back in 2008 for record of the year for her song “Rehab”. That says that we can expect the recreation of Amy’s Grammy win, performance, and concert that she held in London via satellite.

A recent interview made by Harper's Bazaar Magazine where they interviewed Marisa Abela on how she transformed into Amy Winehouse. In the interview they talked about how Abela almost turned the role down. “My first instinct was to say ‘No, that’s too much, too huge’”. Her agent would persuade her to meet the director, who is Sam Taylor-Johnson as well as the casting director Nina Gold. Before meeting them Abela would do some quick research on Winehouse to focus on the type of woman she was before fame. She said “The more I got to know her, the more I felt a major connection to this spiky Jewish girl from London who had a lot to say, and was really quite unafraid”.

When Abela got the role she went into an obsessive drive. She moved to Camden for four months working 10 hours a day with a personal trainer as well as singing lessons and learning to move like Winehouse. The film will be released in theaters on May 17th.
