How to Join
The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
See Ms. Keene, the KHS NHS advisor, in room 240 for applications.
Club Member Expectations
Each member must complete 8 hours of outside school community service
Each member must remember there is a commitment to being a member of a school club and students need to attend a minimum of 6 out of the eight club meeting held October - May
Club members must attend a minimum of 4 out of the 7 service projects held October - April
Club members are responsible for filling out their service hours for each month. (Ms. Keene will then show members how to find the forms)
Members must maintain a 3.3 GPA and CPA to remain a member in good standing.
NHS t-shirts are available for purchase from the NHS website

Monthly club meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month. After club business has been concluded, members are encouraged to stay and play board games, bring a hobby to work on, etc. to get to know their fellow club members and develop camaraderie with one another.
Club service projects will be held on the 4th Wednesday of each month.
Come talk to Ms. Keene if you would like to join sometime during the year. In order to be recognized at graduation as an NHS member, seniors need to have been members of the club for the entirety of their senior year.
