The 2026 - 2027 school year will be my 16th year of teaching. I moved to Salt Lake from Northern Virginia in 2020. This school year will be my 7th year teaching at Morningside Elementary. Previously, I taught in Fairfax County Public Schools in McLean, Virginia. I taught as a math and language arts resource teacher for several years, as a special education teacher, and as a 3rd grade gifted teacher. I received my B.S. in Human Development from Brigham Young University and an M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada Las Vegas where I worked as a graduate assistant on the publication of the Journal of Children's Literature. I am currently working on a second master's degree. I love being outside and enjoying nature. I also love to read and cook.
