All About Ms. Mineer

I have taught 5th grade at Diamond Ridge Elementary since its opening in 2009. I received my Bachelor's degree from Westminster College and my Master's degree from Utah State University with endorsements in ESL, gifted, and math. My favorite subjects to teach are science (who doesn’t appreciate a good baking soda and vinegar reaction?) and math. I love using technology in my classroom and am willing to try new things to keep my students motivated and engaged. I enter the classroom every day as a learner right along side my students and am not afraid to “take chances, make mistakes, and get messy” (Miss Frizzle, Magic School Bus) as long as we are learning and developing critical thinking skills. I have three amazing sons and six super cute grandchildren and am slightly addicted to reading, dark chocolate, and Pokemon Go.
