The challenge is on!! Students are encouraged to read books from all different genres. We will keep track of the books they read at school. Here is what is required in order to meet the 40 Book Challenge:
5 realistic fiction
5 expository/informational
2 fantasy
4 biography/autobiography
3 mystery
3 historical fiction
3 poetry
3 graphic novels
2 science fiction
10 personal choice
We will not have a traditional spelling test; however, we will study spelling patterns with specific words. These words will be glued in their planner books each week.
