I love our school’s reading program. Wonders puts a great emphasis on phonics. It also includes language, social studies, science and music. It challenges students to problem solve and write. All Students are expected to know how to comprehend stories, and acknowledge different points of view. Students should be able to comprehend literature, including stories and poetry. Students will also be able to distinguish long and short vowels, know spelling words, and begin to understand grammar and use it in their writing.

Our school’s math program is Houghton Mifflin’s Go Math. This is exciting new program follows the Utah State Common Core exactly. This program focuses on real world hands-on activities, writing and drawing answers so students truly understand numbers.

Interconnections, is our school wide social studies and science program. This program compliments our reading program and gives students the opportunity to see how science and social studies work in everyday life. We will be using Mystery Science for science as well.
