I am running for communications officer because I want to keep our school community engaged, informed, and connected. I also want to make sure everyone knows what is going on here at Cottonwood so they don’t miss out on anything. While in office, I hope to achieve making sure everyone in the school is informed and excited about everything. For qualifications, I am good with teamwork and communication, I learned these from playing football for 4 years now, while also doing wrestling. I also have a job that requires me to talk to residents every day to help them meet their needs. For the plans to represent CHS positively and innovatively is first to be more interactive on social media for your feedback and anything else you need. Second is to appreciate our students, teachers, and more. Give them weekly shoutouts and show how they help Cottonwood grow as a community even more than ever.

Question and Answer

Question #1: What makes Cottonwood the BEST high school in Utah?

Cottonwood High School is the Best high school in Utah because of the community we have as a school and everyone around us. Also, with Cottonwoods diversity, we all have a different story to share, making all of us unique in some way or the other. Cottonwood also has many things to offer, like the theater and art programs, both great programs here at Cottonwood. We also have great sports teams at Cottonwood that all support each other basketball, football, soccer, softball, baseball, cross country, track and field, wrestling, swimming, tennis, and rugby. All these teams represent Cottonwood High showing why we are the best in Utah, working day and night. We also have great clubs here at Cottonwood, like the robotics team or the debate club, both amazing clubs. But what truly makes Cottonwood the best high school in Utah is that the students and teachers support one another, showing we all care. The teachers here are always prepared to help and prepare any student who walks in needing anything. And while the students also helping each other here at Cottonwood showing there true colt pride.

Question #2: What will you do as a class officer to make sure everyone in your grade feels valued at school?

To make sure everyone in my grade is valued is to first, of course take their feedback and answer with anything they need help with. I will also be an advocate to make sure there is fairness here at CHS and encourage a culture where every voice is respected. Another thing I will do is post resources for anything a student would need to continue feeling good here.
