I am running for Stampede officer because I want to make Cwood events and school spirit even better! I love coming to all the events Cottonwood does and I believe I can make them even more fun, by doing tailgates, getting more people there, and making student sections a party! Next year's going to be amazing and I'm excited to take part in it.
Question #1: What are two initiatives you will work on as a Class Officer next year if you are elected?
Getting more people to come to extracirricular events, and getting the student sections more fun.
Question #2: What does it mean to you to be a Colt?
Colts ar G.R.E.A.T, Goal Oriented, Respectful, Engaged, Accountable, and Tolerant.
Question #3: What is one way you would develop activities to make everyone at Cottonwood feel welcome and included?
I would make student sections bigger by advertizing with posters or announcement to better get word around about activities that are going on.
Question #4: What advice do you have to stay motivated with attendance and academics throughout the year?
Keep up the hard work it'll pay off and teach you lessons about working hard, perserverence, and resilience.
Question #5: What are some qualities that make a great leader?
Decsisiveness, empathy and being able to see perspective of those following you, and understanding how to be confident and level-headed under pressure.
Question #6: What is a leadership quality you have and how will it help you be a good Class Officer at Cottonwood?
I'm good at talking to people, I can communicate with my peers and make cottonwood more connected and have more school spirit.
Question #7: What specific qualifications do you have for your intended position?
I love going to extracirricular activities and love the vibe of a student section, which is what a stampede officer should definitely have.
For a tailgate Idea, I would get a food most people enjoy, such as Costco Pizza, some games like corn hole, spikeball, and some fun activities or services like face paint. Something else fun would be some rally towels or something for them to bring to the activity to help cheer.
This would encourage attendance by making it more fun and hype and give them something to do in common with each other to become more connected.
