CAST LIST

Hello!

I’m sure you are all dying to know the much-anticipated cast list for Olympus High’s Fall 2026 musical, Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical! Before I dive into the casting details, I just want you to know how incredibly proud the directing team and I are of each of you. Putting yourself out there and sharing your talents is never easy, but BOY do we have some TALENTED students here at Olympus! Please remember that the job of an actor is not to get a part—the job of an actor is to audition. So PLEASE keep auditioning! Also, just because you didn’t get cast in the show or didn’t get the part you wanted does not mean you are a bad actor, and it certainly does not define you as a person. Casting is complicated, and there are so many factors that go into putting a show together. The directing team and I have spent countless hours talking through auditions and carefully considering what combination of students will best serve this production while also giving you opportunities to grow and become better artists. We know that some of these decisions may be disappointing, and that’s okay. Give yourself a little time to feel that, then keep going. Keep auditioning, keep learning, and keep showing up. We are so excited to get started and cannot wait to see what this cast does with Frozen! ❄️💙

Make sure to read through all the information below:

NOTE FOR EVERYONE

• If you were cast in the show, there is a mandatory first rehearsal tomorrow, August 17 starting right at 2:30 pm in the Black Box Theater. Please make sure you're there in time as we will start promptly at 2:30 pm

NOTE FOR PARENTS

• Please know how incredible your student is. I am so lucky to be their director and educator not only on acting but how to be great human beings. Thank you for sharing your student and their impressive talent with myself and the directing team.

• There is a participation fee with the musical that is $150 that needs to be paid directly to the main office. This will be shown on your student's Focus account in the coming week. This fee covers the cost of your student's costume, licensing, script rental, production equipment, etc.

• PARENT MEETING TOMORROW - There is a mandatory parent meeting at 6:00 pm in the auditorium tomorrow, August 17 to go over all the information for the musical and future productions. Parents are asked to donate one hour of their time in some volunteer capacity. Please attend so you can sign up for what you will be volunteering for.

  1. Students are not required to attend this meeting but are welcome to come. 

FOR THOSE WHO AUDITIONED FOR YOUNG ANNA & YOUNG ELSA

• PLEASE! Keep performing and keep auditioning! This was not an easy casting because so many of you were great for the role. Each one of you blew us out of the water with your talent. 

• We would love to have you all come see the show! 

• Come join theatre, choir, and dance when you attend Olympus High! We would love to teach you skills that will make you a better performer. Take voice, dance, and acting classes NOW so you're ready for the big Olympus stage. 

NOTE FOR LEVEL 3 ENSEMBLE

• You will be featured in the following songs on stage:

  2. #2A - First Joik

  3. #3 - Do You Want to Build a Snowman

  4. #4 - For the First Time in Forever

  5. #6 - Dangerous

  6. #6A - Coronation Ball

  7. #7 - Love is An Open Door

  9. #14 - Fixer Upper

  10. #18 - Colder by the Minute

  11. #19 - Finale

• In order to be considered for a higher level in principle or featured roles we recommend:

  1. Enroll in at least two to three theatre, dance, or choir class at Olympus. Students are more likely to get casted when they are taking a music, dance, or theatre class where they learn the skills on HOW to perform.

  2. Be big, bold, and confident in the audition room. Make choices, project, clear diction, and have fun. 

  3. Practice, practice, practice! Come prepared knowing the material. 

NOTE FOR LEVEL 2 ENSEMBLE

• You will be featured in the following songs on stage:

  3. #4 - For the First Time in Forever

  4. #6 - Dangerous to Dream

  5. #6A - Coronation Ball

  6. #10B - Hans of the Southern Isles (Reprise)

• In order to be considered for a higher level in the ensemble we recommend:

  1. Enroll in at least one theatre, dance, or choir class at Olympus. Students are more likely to get casted when they are taking a music, dance, or theatre class where they learn the skills on HOW to perform. We would love to help you master the skills so you're ready for your next audition.

  2. Be big, bold, and confident in the audition room. 

  3. Practice, practice, practice! Come prepared knowing the material. 

NOTE FOR LEVEL 1 ENSEMBLE

• You will be on stage only for the following songs on stage:

  1. #1 - Opening

  2. #4 - For the First Time in Forever

  3. #10B - Hans of the Southern Isles (Reprise)

  4. #15A - End this Winter

  5. #19 - Finale

• In order to be considered for a higher level in the ensemble we recommend:

  1. Enroll in at least one theatre, dance, or choir class at Olympus. Students are more likely to get casted when they are taking a music, dance, or theatre class where they learn the skills on HOW to perform. We would love to help you master the skills so you're ready for your next audition.

  2. Between now and your next audition, focus on improving one area of musical theatre. For instances, if you are not a strong singer, consider taking voice lessons. 

  3. Be big, bold, and confident in the audition room. 

  4. Practice, practice, practice! Come prepared knowing the material. 

NOTE FOR THOSE NOT CASTED

• First off, thank you for coming to the audition! In order to be considered for future shows we recommend the following:

  1. Attend all portions of the audition process.

  2. Enroll in at least one theatre, dance, or choir class at Olympus. Students are more likely to get casted when they are taking a music, dance, or theatre class where they learn the skills on HOW to perform.

  3. Be big, bold, and confident in the audition room. 

  4. Practice, practice, practice! Come prepared knowing the material. 

NOTE ABOUT UNDERSTUDIES

• The role of the understudy is to learn the part in case of an emergency. We hope that it never happens but we wanted to be ready just in case. 

• You DO NOT get a performance. 

• You are required to attend rehearsals any time the part your understudying is rehearsing. I will do my best to make sure there isn't overlap with rehearsal times so you can be present to learn. 

• There will be occasional rehearsals in which I allow you time to step in to practice. 

• Being an understudy looks GREAT on resumes! (Looks even better when a director reports to another on if you were prepared for rehearsals when they worked with you!)
