I've wanted to run for the position of artist for a long time. Initially, I was too intimidated and unsure of putting myself out there. This year with the encouragement from my friends, I've decided to run. If I'm elected, I want to bring more recongnition to visual arts at Cottonwood. On a personal level, I'm running because art is a huge part of my identity. I love creating new things and I want to share that passion with others. I've won multiple awards and have been taking professional classes since I was eleven, which has helped me grow both as an artist and an person. Being an class officer also means setting an positive example. I'm always challenging myself to improve and become the best version of myself, and I would bring the same creativity and dedication to this role.

Task: Create a sample poster (it can be scaled down) to advertise for a Homecoming Dance with a dance theme of your choosing. This needs to be hand drawn. Provide a photo of your poster. Additionally, create 2 different poster examples that can fit on one page for a Sweethearts Dance that the advisor can print and provide to the rest of Student Government to help them create their advertising poster. These can be hand drawn or digital. The other officers are required to help with making dance advertising posters, but many need to be able to copy your designs.
