Question and Answer

Question #1: What are two initiatives you will work on as a Class Officer next year if you are elected?

Two initiatives I plan to work on are 1-creating a positive and comfortable environment and 2-creating and encouraging school spirit. 

Question #2: What does it mean to you to be a Colt?

Being a Colt means to be involved and create unity in different groups of students.

Question #3: What is one way you would develop activities to make everyone at Cottonwood feel welcome and included?

I would like to focus on organizing more school activities to give every student a chance to get involved. 

Question #4: What advice do you have to stay motivated with attendance and academics throughout the year?

Doing well academically and socially will make school a more fun and enjoyable experience.

Question #5: What are some qualities that make a great leader?

I believe great leaders are outgoing and inclusive.  They make an effort to connect with everyone and work hard to make sure people feel comfortable and welcome.

Question #6: What is a leadership quality you have and how will it help you be a good Class Officer at Cottonwood?

I consider myself outgoing and confident in talking to new people and building strong relationships.

Question #7: What specific qualifications do you have for your intended position?

As a dance officer, I believe itś important to genuinely love the school dances and music, and to bring energy and excitement to every event.  I feel confident that I have these qualities and can help create a fun, inclusive atmosphere that gets everyone involved. 

Task

Task: Develop a Homecoming Dance theme that fosters unity among the Cottonwood High School student body. Explain how the chosen location, décor, music selection, and DJ coordination will work together to create an engaging, inclusive, and memorable experience for all students. 

¨A Night to Shine¨ would be the perfect Homecoming theme to highlight the new year, Homecoming royalty, incoming students, etc.  It would continue to be located in the Cottonwood commons. Decorations would be a mix of golds, silver and anything that shines-possibly even a disco ball and red carpet.  For me, the music is the most important part of the night!  It needs to be a fun evening for everyone--including a variety of music.  The DJ we find would also need to play popular songs that students at Cottonwood suggest so everyone is involved!  The goal is to keep the dance floor packed all night!
