My name is Itzia Lopez and I would love to be your 2024-25 junior class secretary. As a student who has been in Student Government for almost two years, I completely love everything about it. To come together not only as a school but as a community with everyone! The pride students have for this school is huge and great to see. My purpose is to have everyone be included no matter who you are or where you come from, everyone matters. I hope to make this next year great and fun for our students.

Question #1: What makes Cottonwood the BEST high school in Utah?

There are a lot of things that make Cottonwood the best high school in Utah, one of them is the sportsmanship in our sports events. Cottonwood encourages our students to go to our events and cheer our classmates on their talents and passions. Not only the sportsmanship that makes Cottonwood the best high school but also the school pride our students have for our school. Every student at Cottonwood has a different background where they came from and I think it's important to value our students and the education our amazing teachers provide. That's another great thing about Cottonwood, we have great teachers who take their time to make lessons for us to learn and enjoy.

Question #2: What will you do as a class officer to make sure everyone in your grade feels valued at school?

As a class officer, I will try to make everyone feel valued by including them in the events and assemblies that our administration and our Student Government provide. And I will make sure everyone is getting the help they need and also make sure they're heard when they either have a question
