Summer Programs

Introductory Band & Orchestra Camp (IBOC) is designed for students who are new to instrumental music. This camp provides a supportive introduction to band and orchestra instruments through a combination of small-group instruction and full ensemble experiences. Students will learn the fundamentals of playing an instrument, including proper posture, tone production, basic technique, and ensemble skills, while building confidence and excitement for music-making. 

Junior Youth Symphony is designed for junior high school students who want to accelerate their musical growth and challenge their musicianship while connecting with peers from across the Wasatch Front. This summer program focuses on ensemble skills, musical development, and collaboration, and is capped off with a culminating summer concert and a fun celebration trip to Lagoon Amusement Park. 

Senior Youth Symphony is designed for high school students seeking an advanced orchestral experience that challenges their musicianship and leadership skills. Students will work with peers from across the Wasatch Front to rehearse high-quality repertoire, refine ensemble performance skills, and grow as collaborative musicians. The summer program culminates in a capstone concert and a week-long performance tour, with this year’s destination being (INSERT).
