I'm running to be Sophomore secretary for next year because I want to recognize groups at Cottonwood that may not get recognized as much. I feel I am qualified for this positions because of my strong dedication. I promise to represent our school the best that I can. I plan to represent our school by being an example and following what it means to be a Colt. Vote Gabriel!
Question #1: What are two initiatives you will work on as a Class Officer next year if you are elected?
One initianive I will work on if I get elected Sophomore Secratary is try to reconize the clubs and orginizations at our school that might not be well known. Another initiative I will work on is trying to represent Cottonwood the best that I can. I know and reconize that the role of the secretary will work more with adults and I will try my best to represent Cottonwood.
Question #2: What does it mean to you to be a Colt?
For me being a Colt means being a part of our school community where I learn and make memories. I have pride in this school and I'm excited to have and opportunity in representing this school the Best that I can.
Question #3: What is one way you would develop activities to make everyone at Cottonwood feel welcome and included?
One of the best activities I can think of to make Cottonwood feel welcoming and inclusive is by hosting Social gatherings, not just after school but also during lunch. Hosting different activities that show and reconize other peoples hobbies and culture for example a Dia de Los muerto trivia for candy during lunch reconizes Latin American culture.
Question #4: What advice do you have to stay motivated with attendance and academics throughout the year?
One peice of advice that I have to stay motivated with attendance and academics is surrounding yourself with people that are good with attendance and accademics so that way they can motivate you. This is something I do and I know it works beucase I have good attendance.
Question #5: What are some qualities that make a great leader?
A good leader takes initiative and makes sure everyone is included and knows there role, but they also have to be open to ideas and improvments. They also have to be optomistic and positive thinkers beucase when things get hard they are the ones that need to motivate the others. Another thing I think makes a good leader is having other leaders you look up to in order to inspire you to be the best you can.
Question #6: What is a leadership quality you have and how will it help you be a good Class Officer at Cottonwood?
One leadership quality I have is commitment. I feel that I am good at showing up and doing what I agreed to do. This leadership quality is good for class office because being good at commiting creates trust and being a Class Officer requires attending various avents and strong commitment. Something that I am willing to do.
Question #7: What specific qualifications do you have for your intended position?
I feel I am qualified for this position as Sophomore secretary beucase I often serve in my church were I work with adults. I help with some events that my church host so I am expirienced with helping during events and talking infront of a crowd of people. I also did LIA in 8th grade were I helped make and host a basketball event.

Task: Create a sample list of groups at Cottonwood that could participate in a school assembly and write a sample email asking if they would like to participate. Additionally, create a simple outline of a Homecoming Assembly script. (Typically the Homecoming Assembly involves competition games between grades and includes a dance performance by the combined dance groups.)
