I want to run for Sophomore class vice president because I love Cottonwood and all the people in it. I believe that students voices matter and should be heard and I want to be someone who listens, and treats everyone fairly. I am motivated to make our school a more positive and caring community where everyone feels welcome so we can have a fun and amazing high school experience.

Question #1: What are two initiatives you will work on as a Class Officer next year if you are elected?
Some initiatives I will work on if I am elected would be creating more activites that all groups at Cottonwood feel welcome at and more included. I would also try to get more peer ideas out there so that the whole student body at Cottonwood feels like they have a say in what we do for things like dances and sports game themes.
Question #2: What does it mean to you to be a Colt?
I think that being a colt means that you try your best and stay on top of all your assignments and respondsabilities. I also think being a colt means that you are positive and respectful to all your peers and teachers. I also think that being a colt means that you show good school spirit in and outside of school even when we are not winning.
Question #3: What is one way you would develop activities to make everyone at Cottonwood feel welcome and included?
One way Iwould develop activites to make everyone at Cottonwood feel welcome and included is by creating more events with things that all students would like rather than just certain groups of people at Cottonwood so that eveyone would feel welcome and so we can all meet more people at our school. A good example of this would be mini lunch events this would be like games during lunch so that anyone can come and play to meet new people and its in a safe way which would be optional so if people did not want to they don't have to.
Question #4: What advice do you have to stay motivated with attendance and academics throughout the year?
Some advice I have to stay motivated with attendance and academics throughout the year is to find support this can be with friends, family or teachers. I think it is so important to have someone by your side to help you through those times that you feel unmotivated, to keep you going. I also think it is so important to stay positive throughout the whole year and focus on what you really want, this will be different for everyone but if you stay focused and positive you will stay more motivated.
Question #5: What are some qualities that make a great leader?
I think some qualities that make a great leader are resondsibility because a good leader follows through on the promises they make. I also think that communication is a really great quality because it helps everyone work well together and feel herd. I also think that problem-solving is a good quality because it keeps things running smoothly when problems come up.
Question #6: What is a leadership quality you have and how will it help you be a good Class Officer at Cottonwood?
I think that a leadership quality I have that will help me be a good class officer at cottonwood is communication because it helps everyone work together and feel heard. I also think that this would help me be a good officer at cottonwood because good communication skills can explain, listen, motivate and solve problems which would all help cottonwood run smoother.

Some qualifications I have for vice president are that I have been doing student government for two years now and have been in many leadership situations where I have had to problem solve and make things work for the best they can.
