My goal is to bring a "friendliness" to Cottonwood that you won't find at any other school. I want to be here to capture the moments and make this year one to remember--cementing another great year in the books. Let's make next year, one we can all look back on with fondness.
I'm running for office because I care about our school and the people in it. I want every student to feel included, heard, and excited to be a part of Cottonwood.
As a class officer, I hope to increase school spirit, make sure your ideas and voices are represented, and most importantly create and capture events that students enjoy.
I believe I'm qualified because I'm responsible, approachable, and a good listener. I am someone who will show up, put in the work, and collaborate with others to make things happen.
I plan to represent Cottonwood in a positve and innovative way by encouraging kindness, celebrating student achievements, and bringing fresh, creative ideas to our school. Most importantly, I'll be someone you can talk to--because hearing you out is what we should value most.

Question #1: What are two initiatives you will work on as a Class Officer next year if you are elected?
One initative I want to focus on is documenting and sharing more of our school's moments--through potos, videos, and social media--so everyone feels included and remembered, not just at big events but in everyday school life.
Secondly, I would stress increasing student involvement by highlighting more student voices. Though we already do some of this, we can expand the amount of things highlighting student voices. Things like polls, suggestiong, and stoplights, so people feel like they're a part fo shaping the year, not just watching it happen.
Question #2: What does it mean to you to be a Colt?
Being a Colt to be mean to be someone proud of our culture and who can lead out, while also still beng open to others ideas. It means being part of a community where people support each toher, show school pride, and create a positive environment. Representing Cottonwood with respect kindness and spirit, in school and out.
Question #3: What is one way you would develop activities to make everyone at Cottonwood feel welcome and included?
One way I would make everyone feel welcome and included would be through activities that encourage participation from everyone, not just certain groups--like interactive events, themed days, or student spotlights that regognize versitile achievements.
Question #4: What advice do you have to stay motivated with attendance and academics throughout the year?
My advance would be to stay consistent and set small goals. It's easier to stay motivated when you focus on one step at a time rather than the whole year. Also, getting involved in school activites can make coming to school more enjoyable.
Question #5: What are some qualities that make a great leader?
In my opinion, people who are great leaders listen, communicate well, and are dependable. They are open to others' ideas, willing to work hard, and they are focused on helping the group succeed rather than just themselves. And you know they'll actually do it.
Question #6: What is a leadership quality you have and how will it help you be a good Class Officer at Cottonwood?
One leadershop quality I have is being approachable. This allows me to listen to what students are genuinely thingking and bring those ideas forward. It also helpd me represent other better and make decisions that reflect the whole, rather than just a part.
Question #7: What specific qualifications do you have for your intended position?
I'm responsible, organized, and commited to being involved. I care about our school community and enjoying being a part of events and activites whenever I can attend. For the historian role specifically, I'm interested in capturing memories and making sure this year is documented in a way that people can look back and appreciate.
These five photos highlight things that I love most about Cottonwood, they show you the environment and all the things that make Cottonwood great. Most of the photos feature me and my friends doing things like going to football games, in seminary, putting on funny crayola temportary tattoos, at SheTech, or simply in class. Each of these photos expresses the community of the school. You can find friends wherever you go if you look for the positive things. I would add the more you are connected to the school, the more events you go, to the more people you meet and the more experinces you can put on your list. I enjoy taking photos of anything from friends to activities, anything that I want to remember. This will help me as a historian, allowing me to find moments to sneak in a photo and solitifying the memory in the books, sucessfully documenting the year whether at games, dances, or the times in-between
