My motive and the reason that I am running for Sophomore Class President is I have pride in my school, I love it here and I want everyone else to love it too. Instead of moving to a "better" school or anything like that I will make Cottonwood the better place and the most welcoming school around by planning fun and engaging assemblies as well as making sporting more entertaining no matter the score. The reason that I am an excellent candidate is that I can and have led people in the past to great effect. I was in peer leadership at Bonneville Junior High in 7th grade as well as being the SBO President of the same school in the 8th grade. On top of that I was the Freshman Stampede ASC this year right here at Cottonwood that is where I helped with assemblies, making posters, coming and setting up tailgates, building hype for the games, and helped the Freshman class officers achieve what they needed to get done. In closing, I possess many leadership skills that I have acquired though being put in these leadership roles, and I have the experience to make the next year a great one.

Question and Answer
Cottonwood is awesome in so many ways due to it being so diverse. No other school I know is like that, there is always something new I learn about a culture I wouldn't really know about if I went to another school and that is so fun. I always feel like there is a friend in every hallway, and that makes Cottonwood in so many ways the best school in Utah.
Just be a good friend, listen and get to know everyone I can. When planning assemblies make sure everyone can be apart and engaged, smiling and speaking to someone who maybe is having a hard day, and just listening to people who want to be heard, that is how I will help everyone feel valued and give them a friendly face when needed.
