Hi, I'm Camden Place and I'm running for Stampede Officer because I want to help make events and activities at cottonwood to make sure everyone at cottonwood has a stronger sense of belonging and school spirit. At every sports game I've been to this year, it doesn't matter if it's football, basketball, or volleyball the energy in the crowd doesn't miss. It doesn't matter if we're losing 50-0 or up 50-0 we don't stop being hype and we don't stop showing up, and that's what makes cottonwood great, no matter what we never stop showing up. My goal is to make the best possible events and experiences for everyone at cottonwood at sports games, tailgates, etc. So if you wanna help make it happen, Vote Camden Place for Stampede.
Question #1: What are two initiatives you will work on as a Class Officer next year if you are elected?
One initiative I will work on if I'm elected are making school spirit weeks more fun, I will make sure all the activities get everyone involved, and that they are exciting. Something else I will work on is getting more people to sports games, and making the stuff that happens in the stands better, like bleacher parties, tailgates, and halftime shows.
Question #2: What does it mean to you to be a Colt?
Being a Colt means being a part of a great legacy of people that made the school great and being able to continue to make it even better. It also means having a ton of opportunities to be the best version of yourself and tryout new things with other people.
Question #3: What is one way you would develop activities to make everyone at Cottonwood feel welcome and included?
One way I will develop activities is by making activites and events that are easily accessible to people, like making things free or cheap, and by making activities that all types of people can engage in and enjoy.
Question #4: What advice do you have to stay motivated with attendance and academics throughout the year?
Advice for staying motivated for school is, don't be so hard on yourself if you fail a test or get a bad grade, just try to do better on the next one or other things. Also, push yourself to try new things because if you have something to look forward to after school or during school you'll want to come more and do better.
Question #5: What are some qualities that make a great leader?
Qualities that make a great leader are public speaking, because if you can speak in front of a lot of people then it's easier to do everything else. Another quality is resilience, because you'll be able to get back up and try again if you make a mistake or something doesn't go well.
Question #6: What is a leadership quality you have and how will it help you be a good Class Officer at Cottonwood?
One leadership quality I have is public speaking. This will help me be a good class officer because I can speak in front of a lot of people well, I can keep people engaged and hype for things, especially during assemblies and events. This can also help me with getting people to go to events and things that are happening at cottonwood and in our community.
Question #7: What specific qualifications do you have for your intended position?
I love going to school events like sports games and other things that are happening at cwood. Also, I love getting people hype at sports games. I've also been playing sports for a long time and I know how it feels when you have a lot of people watching you and cheering for your team, and It's one of the best feelings, and I wanna get that for all of Cottonwood.
My tailgate will encourage student attendence because people will want to come and see a lot of the cars and things that are in the parking lot, and they can also come and eat food and hang out with their friends and people before the game starts.
