I want to run for Freshman Class Communications Officer because I want to be more connected with all of the students at Cottonwood High School. I see how creative other schools are with their social media posts, and I want to bring that energy to cottonwood to show all of our school spirit! I would be a good class officer because I will make sure that everyone is able to be included and that everyone is having fun. I plan to represent Cottonwood High School postitively by making sure every school sport, club, and activity have their moment and get the recignition they need.

Question and Answer

Question #1: What are two initiatives you will work on as a Class Officer next year if you are elected?

Two initiatives I will work on as a class officer is that I want to be able to have everybody know about all of the activities going on at cottonwood, and bring more attention to sports and clubs that don't get a bunch of recognition.

Question #2: What does it mean to you to be a Colt?

To be a colt to me means to be respectful to my school and others around me, be accountable to my teachers, be engaged in school activities, and to be inclusive to everyone I meet.

Question #3: What is one way you would develop activities to make everyone at Cottonwood feel welcome and included?

I can organize lunch activies such as cup stacking, which i've helped with before, or bracelet making to make everyone feel included, and get to know everyone better.

Question #4: What advice do you have to stay motivated with attendance and academics throughout the year?

It's important to lock in on your academics and attendance because it's the steps to your future.

Question #5: What are some qualities that make a great leader?

Some qualities that make a good leader is being inclusive, being kind, being patient, have good communitication skills, and being resilient.

Question #6: What is a leadership quality you have and how will it help you be a good Class Officer at Cottonwood?

One leadereship quality I have is being reliable, and that will help me be a good class officer because I can always be counted on during good and difficult times.

Question #7: What specific qualifications do you have for your intended position?

I am great with social media, I'm curently in a class that helps everyone in the school and helps with school activies, and i'm curently in charge of playing the school anouncements everyday.

Task: Create a sample intercom announcement (written out) advertising a student (of your choice) as a Student of the Year winner. Additionally create 3 social media posts to encourage your particular grade to attend 3 events (of your choice) at Cottonwood.

Good Morning Cottonwood High School! In addition to all of our other announcements, we want to talk about Melenaite Tuitivake, who got the award of "Student of the Year!" She has always been very responsible and will always help even when they are not asked. She has almost no absences and has zero tardies! She is always there for people who don't have a bunch of friends. Congratulations Melenaite Tuitivake on winning Student of the Year!
