PHET Simulations

Here, you can find fun simulations to try with your students. These are mostly for science instruction, but there are a couple in math on this page. At the top, you can find other resources for teaching including activities, how to implement, and virtual resources.

Wildlife Viewing Live Camera

Here, you can see various animals from all over the world live with web cams. This could be helpful when observing certain animal characteristics or to observe an animal's interaction with its habitat/environment.

National Geographic Kids

This is a great resource for you and your students when having students do research on various animals, their habitats, adaptations, and other characteristics. There are also games and other content areas available.

Chrome Music Lab

Here, you can find fun ways to create music. Music can be shared and added to a video or as a backing for a story board that your students could create. Some allow for creation of harmony, some are just exploring different musical instruments, and some can be collaborative efforts to create songs.

Mystery Doug

This resource is a highly engaging platform with less than 5 minute videos where kids ask questions about anything! He answers, helps them find clues, and use critical thinking and reasoning to find an answer. This is great for ELA, Writing, Science, and Math! Each video has a link for extensions that are great for getting ideas on using these videos in a meaningful way.

How Stuff Works

This site is great for finding articles for science, beginning of a STEAM lesson, or writing! It has some fun ideas like "What Would Happen if the Hoover Dam Broke?" or "Why do Dogs Howl?". This is not a website for kids to go and peruse, but more for you to find, print, or link articles. Many are not relevant or appropriate for all grade levels.

Gizmos Math and Science Simulations

Here you can find fun FREE simulations with math and science. Some notable ones include fractions, multi-digit subtraction, and symmetry! Without an account, Gizmos can only be viewed for 5 minutes per day, otherwise a FREE account gives you or a student unlimited time.

Be Smart Youtube Channel

Similar to MysteryDoug, this has many videos that answer various questions. These vary in length and can either be an extension or could be the beginning of a STEAM activity, writing project, or other fun discussion opportunities.
