Question and Answer

Question #1: What are two initiatives you will work on as an Class Officer next year if you are elected?

I will work on creating more school spirit through art that brings students together. I will also want to increase student involvement by giving more people the chance to share their ideas and creativity, so everyone feels like they're part of what we create at our school.

Question #2: What does it mean to you to be a Colt?

Being a Colt means showing our pride in our school, supporting each other, and representing our community with respect. it's about being part of somthing bigger than yourself  and making sure everyone feels included.

Question #3: What is one way you would develop activities to make everyone at Cottonwood feel welcome and included?

I will make art that makes every student feel involved and included.

Question #4: What advice do you have to stay motivated with attendance and academics throughout the year?

First, set goals when a student sets goals, they have something to work towards to stay motivated, and second, think about why you're at school, not only to get good grades or just to finish high school, but to learn and grow as a person.

Question #5: What are some qualities that make a great leader?

A great leader is a person who listens, communicates clearly, and represents others. They are also responsible, positive, and open to new ideas, and most importantly, a great leader makes people feel heard and works to bring others together.

Question #6: What is a leadership quality you have, and how will it help you be a good Class Officer at Cottonwood?

One leadership quality that I have is creativity. I work outside the box and bring new ideas to the table. This will help me make posters and projects to get students excited, and involved. This will also help me create a new and unique poster design.

Question #7: What specific qualifications do you have for your intended position?

I have a strong passion for art and creativity, along with the ability to design and bring ideas to life. I'm dedicated, responsible, and willing to put in the work to represent our class.

Task

Task: Create a sample poster (it can be scaled down) to advertise for a Homecoming Dance with a dance theme of your choosing. This needs to be hand drawn. Provide a photo of your poster. Additionally, create 2 different poster examples that can fit on one page for a Sweethearts Dance that the advisor can print and provide to the rest of Student Government to help them create their advertising poster. These can be hand drawn or digital.
